At the end of 2023, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published its Policy Statement setting out its final rules on the UK’s Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR) and investment labels regime. They said their aim with the SDR and investment labels regime was simple – financial products that are marketed as sustainable should do as they claim and have the evidence to back it up. At its core, SDR is designed to increase investor trust and transparency around sustainable finance, and empower investors to make better informed decisions.
